January...

Can't believe we are almost at the end of the first month for 2008...it's been a busy one too!
Mum & Dad flew back to the UK mid January after spending 7 weeks with us. A few days later we packed up the car with our new tents & camping gear and took ourselves off to Mandurah for the weekend with our friends Chris, Hannah & kids. Last week Derek took some days off so we packed in quite a lot of swimming (Dez taught me how to dive in properly!!) as the weather has been v hot. Saturday was Australia day so in typical aussie tradition we spent the day at the beach (again!) then went into the city in the evening to see the spectacular Perth Skyworks firework display. Sunday the boys went fishing & Elise & I went girly shopping! Yesterday was Australia Day public holiday so we spent the day cruising down the Swan River as Chris & Hannah very kindly offered to take us out on their boat. Now we are trying to resume normality & restore bedtime routines this week in anticipation for next mondays return to school!!
